The Oak Meyers Garden Association has worked with Compost Connection to establish Friday, October 18 and Friday, December 13 as 2019 yard waste collection dates to supplement the City of Kansas City Collection dates.
Yard waste route service will begin at 7:00 a.m on the two days and there is a limit of 20 items per day. Additional details on materials that can be picked up are available on the following flyer.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact a OMG Board member or Compost Connection customer service 816-761-8300.
As part of efforts to improve and beautify the homes association, Oak Meyer Gardens representatives have been working on submitting proposals to the city to improve streets, curbs, sidewalks, and monuments. More information is on the Infrastructure Work page.
Please take a stroll around the neighborhood. Your dues and the Board have been at work
updating and reconstructing a pair of end cap monuments. The stone pedestals and statues at 66th
and Cherry have been updated; the pedestals have been repaired and topped with
limestone caps, and the Jack and Jill statues have been cleaned.
The end result makes for a lasting and improved impression
of our Oak Meyer Gardens Neighborhood. The island at 69th Street and
Cherry is getting a face-lift as well. We will have photos of this soon.
We are working on many exciting projects over the next few
months and will provide periodic updates here on the Website and in the Acorn
newsletter. Let us know what you
